What is MoCRA?
The Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act of 2022 (MoCRA) was the first major expansion of FDA authority over cosmetics in more than 80 years. It created new responsibilities for cosmetic manufacturers and brand owners, including facility registration, product listing, adverse event reporting, recordkeeping, and additional labeling requirements.
The challenge is that not every requirement applies to every business.
